It’s difficult to imagine when Steve Wilson actually sleeps. The Porcupine Tree lead singer is not only the driving force behind PT, this year he produced his own solo album, Insurgentes; collaborated in No-Man, an experimental rock outfit; AND writes music with friend Aviv Geffin for their band Blackfield. He is possibly the hardest working man in music.
It’s been quite a 12 months for the Southampton based Band Of Skulls. Back in November 2008, the 2-boy-one-girl trio were recording under the alias Fleeing New York as virtual unknowns. Veritable virgins of the music industry. Skip to October 2009, and things have changed. They have just released a brilliant, very complete and debut album – Baby Darling Doll Face Honey, are touring the country’s coolest venues and, rather more impressively; are featuring on the soundtrack of the Twilight movie franchise second serving New Moon. No mean feat by any standards.
Still insisting he’s sexy, still looking like a mutant splicing of Ron Jeremy and Marty the dancing landlord from The Big Lebowski, Har Mar Superstar is back, on the stage, on tour and on your face, given half the chance. 
Vasco Rossi is a Godzilla-sized rock star in his home country of Italy. Inaccurately dubbed the Italian Bruce Springsteen (by me, just then), Rossi has an uncanny knack of selling out vast stadiums with little effort. Rossi has published 21 successful albums and written over 130 songs and the distinctive Rossi shout has been echoing around Italy since 1977. 
Getting bigger and bigger all the time, The Sunshine Underground are threatening to hit a mainstream near you soon. They might have to change their name. The band are noted for not enjoying big gigs but rather smaller, more intimate venues in which they can create a house-party atmosphere. Let’s see how that translates as their venues get progressively larger like an embarrassing public woody. 
David Gray, a musician able to produce A) songs so remorselessly sad that the Government were considering releasing his albums as a method of population control, and B) songs so unflinchingly cheery that the grins can only be removed from fans’ faces with a crow-bar, has announced a tour. 
You wouldn’t naturally pair up Dizzee Rascal and Lily Allen, but then that whole pork and apple combo was an accident that worked really well too. We’re not speculating on who is pork and who is apple. That’s your job. Pork & Apple will be touring together in March. 
Bon Jovi are rumoured to be in discussions with promoters for a 20 night residency at London's 02 Arena for later this year.
Good ol’ cheeky ol’ pop-chappy Robbie Williams has donned his touring truss and is taking that thing that he does around the UK, in a tour kind of thing. When he last toured, Williams sold more than 1.6 Million tickets in a single day. Similar madness is due to ensue again. 
Robbie Williams' live return for the BBC Electric Proms in London sold out this morning in a matter of seconds.

Nice but dim pop chunk Peter Andre is touring. Possibly as some form of therapy but more likely to keep his kids, Gherkin, Jampot and Princess Handbag (I think that’s their names) in pot noodles and nappies. He needs the cash, bless him. 
Formerly ‘Neon Twang’, now just ‘The Twang’, due to reasons, the Midlands musical monkeys have confirmed details of a new single which is an encouraging sign, and a series of UK tour dates. 
American idol winning pop-moppet Kelly Clarkson whose records sales officially reached ‘silly’ some time ago, who keeps her awards in a skip and brushes her teeth with money (probably) is touring for her latest album ‘All I ever Wanted.’ 
Apparently, they will be for at least one night. That’s the Children in Need gig at the Royal Albert Hall this Autumn. Organised by Gary Barlow, the night will feature Take That performing with the original line-up. This includes Robbie Williams.
Humungus bands, wrestling with uncooperative tents, night-time Mexican shout-waves from tent to tent, being completely lost, weird art, the ability to say “oh, yeah, I saw them in Glastonbury back in 2010”, mad circus folk, porta-loos that defy description, silly hats, midnight antics, the which-band-to-see dilemma, dancing by firelight, strange and wonderful people, smugly swigging from your own stash of booze, discovering new bands, avoiding arrest, more music and, very possibly, mud.
OK GO, the band made furiously famous by an Internet memey wotsit, are on the tour. If you’re not already a fan of the flamboyantly dressed and imaginatively moving Chicago band, you’ll probably know them anyway by the U Tube classic that is their single “Here it Goes Again” Four blokes dancing with treadmills? Catchy Song? That’s them. 
Multi-million album selling Canadian Rockers Nickelback have announced two UK shows. According to the band’s press-release, the band will be bringing their ‘awesomely pyro-tastic show’ to the UK in early 2010. We’re not sure what ‘pyro-tastic’ means; they might be setting fire to things, possibly each other, which is always good for a laugh. 
Bizarre rockers New York Dolls (who in their career have been an inspiration behind Punk and New Romanticism, had the curious honour of being simultaneously voted the best and worst new act in the same year and terrified the pants off middle America) are on tour.
